Abstract

In the preface to Corinna Bille’s latest novel Chants d’amour et d’absence, Maurice Chappaz speaks of the «deluge of words» which prevails through the text. The abundance of colors that we observe in the work of the Swiss writer inspired us to borrow the metaphor of «deluge» from her husband and her first reader, another very great representative of French-speaking literature, so that we can explore this «deluge» of colors in terms of the symbolic meaning and stylistic functions in reference to the varied and multicolored work of Corinna Bille.
