Abstract

The Saussurian dichotomy Langue-Parole and the Cosserian trichotomy Système-Norme-Parole have enabled researchers of linguistic stylistics to better explain and delve deeply into the phenomenon of neology. Language neologisms (also called denominative neology) are created to deal with the evolution of the contemporary world. They do not pose major problems either in their classification or in their translation and lexicographical interpretation.

The neologisms of speech (connotative neologisms, authorial neologisms), on the contrary, are based on the search for expressiveness, affectivity or emotivity. This neology is directly linked to the broad notions of “poetic creation”, “literary image”, “and individual stylistics”. It is the product of personal stylistic research. Translating and decoding, defining and lexicographing these creations which never lose their originality pose enough problems to solve.

In this article we talk about these creations as a product of the poetic image and we try to draw attention to the mechanism of their translation.
