Abstract

Abstract: In the context of the emergence and accelerated development of new digital technologies, literature, like the entire cultural paradigm, follows the path of a generalized movement of reconfiguration and reinvention of traditional forms and concepts. Conditioned by the articulation of material – virtual characters, the transition of the literary text to the digital universe implies a change in forms of understanding and evaluation of literature, but also of fundamental categories such as author, reader, reading, writing, textuality, intertextuality, therefore the literary work in its entirety. Starting from the almost universal consensus on which literature is invariably associated with the notion of text, we propose to show that hypertext, although it has a number of features specific to enrolling in a digital device, is part of the continuity of poststructuralist theories on the principles of textuality and intertextuality.
