Les modalités énonciatives dans Les Impatientes de Djaïli Amadou Amal: Une lecture sémantico-syntaxique
Abstract
The enunciative modalities constitute, in The Impatient by Djaïli Amadou Amal, the marks of an intersubjective communication between characters. They describe the relationships of strength and weakness that litter the daily lives of men and women in the novel. The present study consists in showing how these modalities, through exchanges between male and female sex, express the intentions of persuasion, subjugation and violence of the first camp, of torture, suffering and resignation of the second. The methodological and theoretical foundation of the study is the identification and analysis of locutive acts focused on the search for changes in the behavior of one speaker by another, and the grammar of meaning. It emerges from this work that the allocutive modalities relate to the strategies of domination of men, the elocutive modalities their supremacy and the delocutive modalities the deterioration of the female gender.
