Reading his novelL’Intérieur de la nuit (The Interior of the Night) reveals a singular use of the full stop. How can the punctuation mark inform about the message of sentences neared to oral practices. Our interest states on syntax and pragmatics and we divided it on three sections: the questioning of standard using of full stop mark, the analysis of its communicative objectives and the examination of interpretations shutters. First of all, we noted that full stop not ended only verbal’s sentences. It marks equally the end of appositions and enumerations. There, it substitutes to comas, to exclamations marks, suspensives marks, semi-colons and colons. Then, segmentation by stop concerns sentences and more on: sentences without theme, dependants phrasals and nouns phrases. Predication extends to supports which are not verbs like coordinating conjunctions and subordinating conjunctions. Punctuation serves to innovate with two models: substitution an over-punctuation. She attests to her communicative volition. At last, these phrases bonding to oral structures. The narrator develop there an aesthetic of writing’s oralisation.
