Abstract

Abstract: The 21st century is facing the modern challenges. Education and teaching have changed along with the everyday way of life. Electric-technological equipments have replaced the traditional way of working on paper. Since 2005 the Georgian Ministy of Education, Science, Culture and Sports have contributed to the Georgian schools with computers and as a result, by 2010 almost all schools in Georgia had been computerized.

According to the Ministry, the use of the technology helps the pupils to show and improve the capacities that aim at the active use of the acquainted knowledge and that promote the personal skills of independent research.

Through the introduction and application of information technology in teaching, a teacher can change the content, mathods and forms of organization that promote critical and creative thinking in class. The computerization project has been successfully introduced, but the ministry lacks the result of monitoring as the research in this term requires the definitions of different components.

According to the National Assessment and Examinations Center, the number of the failed participants of the Entrance exams is increasing every year.
On the basis of empirical study, we point out the results of the national school computerization project including the issue of the derived problem the pupils’ health.
