Le problème de la traduction des termes médicaux

Abstract

Translation as a field of science is a vast area of studies, that is a subject to the countless open discussions.
It can include different aspects. Besides the translation of world literatures, very widespread in all languages, there are also translations of specialized fields, in other words “technical fields”.

Thus, the term “technical” applies to all areas in which specific terminology is used.
In the article that we are going to present to you, we set the objective of analyzing the subject of translation in the medical field. Thus, by relying on our own corpus we will try to clarify and show the ways and means used to achieve a good transfer of meaning from the source language to the target language. Therefore, we will absolutely take into consideration all the factors that are necessary when interpreting technical, in our case, medical texts.

The corpus of our article is constituted by medical vocabulary (terminology), by medical terms that we have collected during all our practice in this field.
